A marginalized people rose up from humble beginnings, with nothing but their talent, their guiding principles, and their determination to leave none behind. The public has heard so many sad stories, but “Atautsikut/Leaving None Behind” reveals another aspect of the true North. In their own words, raw and unfiltered, the Nunavik Inuit and Cree recount their struggle and how their co-ops came shining through—a message of hope.
The presentation will also include a question and answer session with director John Houston after the screening.

Inuit art expert John Houston welcomes you to attend his online presentation while he shares six works of Inuit art from his gallery with you! He will be joined online by Inuit master sculptor Manasiah Akpaliapik, who has created three of the six featured works.
The art will be available for purchase, as part of this branded and immersive experience. Adventure Canada’s Bill Swan will be hosting this online event as a COVID-19-approved, land-locked version of the exciting Floating Gallery talks John gives when Houston North Gallery is incorporated into Adventure Canada’s Arctic sailings.
